Recently, I have finished A scholarship listing I started about 8 mouths ago for one of my daughters that grew larger than I first anticipated. As a Vietnam and Desert Shield Vet., I wanted to show my daughters the importance of attending college, so I got to work on creating a scholarship,grant,and fellowship listing. Most people would prefer getting a grant as opposed to a loan because you don't have to pay back a grant.

There are many entrepreneurial grant programs out there for people that want to start their own business. But you have to show that you are serious about what it is you want to do. The majority of these grant programs specify that you have to at least submit a business plan to that you are serious.

Educational grants are quite plentiful! Have you gone to the financial aid office of the school that you want to attend? They should have information on grants, scholarships and fellowships. I remember the story of one guy who financed his entire school tuition by applying for and receiving 11 grant/scholarship programs.

You're going to have to say what kind of education you want to get - meaning what is it that you want to study for. There are grant programs out there for those that want to be nurses and their entire tuition is paid for. There is even a government grant program that will pay the tuition of white students who want to attend black colleges!

So its not a question of "are" there any grant programs because there are many educational-related grant programs out there. The question is whether or not you are willing to do the work to find the grant programs. Over 90% of the information that I have found about grant programs has been online so if you have your own access to a computer it will be easier for you to look up and find the information about the funding programs.

i am interested in starting my own business. I have a plan to start a wholesale/retail business that could potentially turn into a multimillion dollar company. It would be a great asset to this community and neighboring states. This city has a high demand for what I have to offer. I already have customers if I could just get the money to get started. Any idea where someone with poor credit can get financed, considering that when the business gets off the ground it will be a great asset to the economy proving jobs and income to the families in this area.

The problem here is that you are going to have to SHOW your business's potential to any potential investor or grant program. Grant programs do not require any information about your credit or your credit history.

You mention stuff like "high demaind" and "million dollar company" but nowhere do I see you mention anything about having a business plan. Potential funders are going to want to at least see this to show that you are serious about what it is you're talking about - I mean just think for a moment - they are going to be investing their money into your business (whether it be a grant or investor) - at least they are going to want to think that your business will be a good investment.
